Hey Teens, are you interested in meeting other teens? Camp Endeavor is where it happens! Where else can you spend all day every day with new friends and cool counselors? (Our counselors are in their early 20s generally).
Our days are full of fun in the out of doors! There’s the usual pool time, lake time, field & court time, cabin time. Whether it’s playing basketball, or doing synchronized cannon-balls at the pool, or climbing on the Walk on Water or the humongous trampoline in the lake, it’s sure to bring delight. Maybe the field is where you like to be, playing capture the flag, or on the court playing handball, or gaga or sand volleyball. There’s plenty to choose from. And it all adds up to weight loss and feeling fit. You'll forget you are at a summer camp to lose weight!

Of course the fun doesn’t end with dinner. After shower hour and some cabin time, the evening programs start! Always different, always fun – it might be a “find the counselor” game, or a talent show, or casino night, or movie night or dance night! You’ll want to bring some dress up clothes – nothing real fancy, just something nicer than what you’ll wear during the day. Also, bring some red, white or blue clothes for our entire day of patriotic team fun!
There’s the education piece which ties together all that happens at weight loss summer camp – whether it be how you change your eating habits, and learn tools to stop the overeating, or as you become more fit, learning how to maintain your fitness at home. Many teens feel at odds with their bodies, you’ll turn that around during this weight loss summer camp. The education is geared to working with our bodies, and brings a feeling of ‘having it together’ which is essential to long-term success and feels so right.
Some teens don’t know where to get started. Perhaps you’re one. You’ve wanted to change your weight for a while now and at night you decide tomorrow is the day you’re going to change your ways. So you wake up eager to start fresh, only to discover you don’t know how to make it happen. And then you eat half of what you normally eat & end up starving in an hour! If this is you, camp can make a huge difference. Learn what to do and how to make it happen!

The food. You’ll be amazed at the regular food you’ll eat: burgers, pizza, wraps, chicken, burritos, deli meat sandwiches, cereals, fresh fruit, smoothies. Snacks include Italian ices, pb & celery, sundaes, chips – you’ll be pleasantly surprised at what you can eat. We don’t promote low-fat foods like some weight loss summer camps for teens, we promote real food, a variety of foods, and good fats (necessary for your brain), prepared in healthy ways. When food’s prepared in healthy ways, you can eat a lot more than if deep fried.
Teens often tell us they make lifelong friends at camp. We’re not surprised. Everyone’s a bit sad to leave camp on the last day, excited to return home full of energy, with baggy pants and stories & memories galore. You’ll go home with a booklet full of highlights from the education, meal ideas, recipes, tips on eating out, a CD of photos and more.
