First, let’s tell you about the food! You’ll be surprised! It’s good and there’s plenty of it! You'll eat burgers & pizza, pancakes, chicken nuggets, tacos and pasta!
Three meals and two snacks a day. Cookouts every week. Having a birthday at camp? We’ll celebrate! You’ll pick a few friends then choose & make the dessert for all of us.
It’s important to us that you like the food at Camp Endeavor, and that it’s food you’re likely to eat when you do get home.
In cooking class, you'll learn how to prepare something new for breakfast and lunch and take the recipes home with you.
You’ll get to make a new breakfast and lunch and we’ll send you home with the recipes.
We know you’ll want to keep your weight off, and maybe lose more, after you return home. That’s one of the reasons why it’s important that you get to choose your foods and serve yourself while you are at camp - so you’ll know how to do this when you get home!
The next question kids ask us is:
Am I going to feel hungry all the time?
No, you won’t. Campers arrive on Sunday and tell us that by Tuesday they feel full after eating!
"Camp Endeavor is a great place to be! It's not about dieting but it's amazing how you lose weight! They teach you so may things about how to rely on yourself, so you won't turn to food for comfort."
What will we do?
Get ready for fun! First of all, you’ll meet your cabin-mates – other kids just like you, some coming to camp for the first time. There will be 10-12 of you in a cabin with two awesome counselors! The counselors rock – they’re college age and fun loving.

Each day is full of different activities from pool time, to kickball to kickboxing to hiphop to art & crafts to tubing to prisonball to volleyball to kayaking to badminton to movies & dances in the evening. We do fit in short sessions on nutrition, diets, eating, fitness and more! There’s also weekly day trips to Devil’s Lake State Park and one of the huge waterparks in the Wisconsin Dells.
Will I get to call my parents?
Unlike most camps, you can call home once a week and receive emails from family members. You’ll be able to write home, relatives and friends whenever you want. Most campers write home during the daily rest hour. Oh, there’s Visitor’s Day too, for those that stay four weeks. You can spend the day with your family and take them on a tour of camp!
What if I’m homesick?
Many campers feel homesick once or twice during camp, just like first year college students do. But not to worry, your counselors will be right there with you and with their help it usually passes quickly.
Camp is the perfect place to come and get fit, eat smart and adopt some good-feeling healthy habits! At the end of camp, you’ll leave knowing I CAN DO THIS! We help you be ready to keep the momentum going at home!
After camp, we’ll keep in touch with you through the Camp Endeavor Blog, Facebook and

. And you’ll come home with an email address or two of new friends!
"Camp Endeavor is the best camp I’ve ever been to. It helped me lose weight and gain confidence and friends! You don’t even think about weight loss until you step on the scale because you’re having so much fun. S"
