Tending One's Self
A unique blend of workshop and retreat for adults for whom weight is a challenge
with Tut Gramling
At Tending One's Self, the approach to eating, food and one’s body is wholistic. Our bodies become our allies once again.
- you can quit denying yourself in an effort to lose weight
- all foods are enjoyed
- our bodies are pleasing to us
|
Tending One's Self is about caring for yourself. You'll learn:
- specific bodymind strategies / tools to use when facing that moment of decision: to continue as is or walk a different path
- to recognize when you’re eating for reasons other than hunger, and what to do about it
- to end habitual, self-defeating patterns of thinking and acting, and
- to create patterns of thinking and behavior that match what you know is best for you and the life you want
|
The focused learning sessions will be interspersed with yoga, qigong, walking and some quiet time for reflection, with of course, delicious meals and snacks. This combination will re-connect your mind, body and spirit and allow you to move forward, without the burdens you’ve felt as a result of weight.
-
Join us for a three day retreat experience, held at a small, private get-away, with shared sleeping rooms, over-looking a lake in central Wisconsin.
- Fee is $350.00.

Tut Gramling, ME-PD
| Tending One's Self is about living well; self-care is foundational to a life well-lived. As a ’72 graduate in occupational therapy, the phrase “self-cares” was anchored in a physical realm, an ability to take care of one’s self in regards to the daily tasks of dressing, meal preparation and the like. Over the years, “self-cares” has taken on a broader context, to include spiritual and emotional self-care. From these roots, Tut has facilitated Acquiring Authentic Presence, a six month long series of weekly classes, empowering adults to end self-defeating patterns and create change in their lives through the development of and trust in their intuitive abilities. Tut also maintains a private practice providing cranio-sacral therapy to youth and adults. Together with her husband, Dan Dingmann, Tut has founded and directs Camp Endeavor, a summer camp for youth for whom weight is a challenge. |
